Will India Indigenize?
India has already made significant progress in indigenising various sectors, such as defense, space, and nuclear energy. However, there is still a long way to go. The country is heavily dependent on foreign imports for many items, including machinery, electronic components, and raw materials.
To promote indigenisation, the Indian government has launched several initiatives, such as the “Make in India” campaign, which aims to encourage domestic manufacturing and attract foreign investment. The government has also set up several research and development institutions to promote indigenous technologies.
